Clifftop Safari Hideaway is a special place with an incredible view. The lodge consists of eight suites that are draped across the clifftop ridge, giving an impeccable view of the Sterkstroom River below. The Welgevonden Game Reserve is part of the Waterberg Biosphere, home to the Big 5, cheetah and 65 other mammal species. They are joined by over 300 different bird species. An additional draw is that this area is malaria-free.
You discover this area with a 4x4 open vehicle safari operated by experienced field guides. Morning and evening game drives are included in your stay.

Set within the Waterberg plateau, Welgevonden Private Game Reserve first became a conservation area in 1993, consolidating a number of private farms, removing internal fences and returning this amazing area to its original state. Today, the reserve boasts one of Africa's largest populations of white rhino on a private reserve, and as a result of the reserve's diverse landscapes there are over 50 mammal species and 250 bird species.
