Ekuthuleni Lodge

Ekuthuleni Lodge is located in the heart of the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in Limpopo, South Africa. 'Ekuthuleni', meaning 'Place of Peace', is the place to be for any bush-loving person and, in particular, families. Guests can look forward to exploring the area with expert guides and then relaxing next to the swimming pool overlooking the expansive grassy plains – a perfect place to enjoy a famous African sunset at the end of an adventure-filled day. The lodge’s main area has a double sided fireplace, with a spacious dining room and a lounge area. The second part to the main area has a viewing deck facing the open plain. There are 5 Luxury Suites and 1 Family Suite that stays up to 10 guests.

Ekuthuleni Lodge has it all, big 5, great service and amazing food. The lodge is very homely and intimate, guests will completely feel at home and part of the family. Ekuthuleni is built on an enormous open land with nutrient rich food for the animals, it is often filled with wildlife in front of the lodge and you might spot mama cheetah bringing her cubs for a drink if you’re lucky. The lodge is your classic safari in modern day comfort.

The main species in the area are rhino, cheetah, lions, and elephants. Bird lovers would also love the area as it is spectacular for birding. For guests looking for natural attractions nearby, the area has Waterberg Mountain Ranges and the bushman drawings in the caves. Everything the reserve does is aimed at conserving wildlife and the surrounding area. The bushman paintings in the reserve are ancient and if not protected, they will be lost to future generations.
