Simbavati Hilltop Lodge

Simbavati Hilltop Lodge is an intimate tented lodge located in the renowned Timbavati, a private reserve that forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Perched on the hillside with spectacular views of the surrounding bush and the Drakensberg mountains in the distance, the lodge overlooks the Nhlaralumi River where elephant and other wildlife are often seen. There are 8 spacious tented suites connected by wooden walkways to the main lodge. Each suite features an en-suite bathroom and an expansive viewing deck and private sala where guests can relax and enjoy the views of the bushveld below.

The Timbavati is one of South Africa's premier wildlife viewing destinations including the Big Five. As well as twice-daily game drives guests can also enjoy night drives, sundowners, dinner under the stars and relaxing in-room spa treatments inbetween safari.

  • Most amazing place!

The staff are incredible and they went out of their way to make our time truly memorable. Nothing was too much for them. You come as a guest and leave as a friend. The game experience was out of this world. Our tracker and ranger were more than excellent. Best animal sightings by far.
