We spent two nights at Mutanda Lake Resort. The views are excellent, the rooms are wonderful and super comfortable, the food and restaurants are wonderful. Had a really good time at this place, and I highly recommend this place as your base for Gorilla tracking in Bwindi.
Mutanda Lake Resort impact highlights
Mutanda Lake Resort tries to create as much impact as possible in the community. 90% of their staff is from the community and they buy as much as they can from local farmers and traders. The resort offers community based activities to support the surrounding villages, and indirectly they help protect the conservation area in which the gorillas live. The resort makes a significant effort to minimize on plastic usage by offering clients filtered water and using solar power.
