Pel's Post

Pel's Post is an eco-luxury lodge located on a private concession, Makuleke Contractual Park, in the pristine far north of the Kruger in South Africa. With only four suites and views expanding as far as the eye can see over the Luvuvhu River, the lodge offers an intimate experience of this awe-inspiring area. There's just no better place to relax and rejuvenate. Pel’s Post is ideal for a group of friends or family to take exclusive use as it accommodates 8 guests. With this, guests have their own private guide, private vehicle, and private chef during their stay at the lodge. Also available for foreign international travelers. This is an amazing area for couples to travel to. The rooms are outstanding and the game viewing from the rooms is so great that guests sometimes don’t need to leave their rooms.
This area is rich with wildlife from plains game like zebra and wildebeest to huge herds of elephant and buffalo. With some luck, guests get to spot the eland which is unique to this part of the Kruger. The diverse landscapes offer unique experiences every day. Imagine enjoying your morning coffee while enjoying the views of the 25-million-year-old Lanner Gorge and later enjoying sundowners while sipping on a drink of your choice in the biggest fever tree forest in the southern hemisphere. The area is a home to baobab trees, a lovely sight. If you want to experience walking safaris and birding safaris in SA, Pafuri is the place to be. The region has over 350 different bird species and some really exceptional ones for your list such as racket tail rollers, Pel’s Fishing Owl, Arnot’s Chat, and Bohm’s Spinetail.
Pel's Post Lodge has a unique architecture, the lodge only has one solid structure wall, and the rest of the walls are remote-controlled screens that can completely open up. A stay at Pel's Post will give you the opportunity to experience the most peaceful game drives as they are one of the only 2 commercial properties in the entire 26000 Ha concession. The area is the most isolated wilderness corner of South Africa and is the only area in the Kruger where you can find herds of thousands of buffaloes and hundreds of elephants. This part of the Kruger is special as herds of eland can only be found in this part of the Kruger.
Pel’s Post is a jewel in the Northern Kruger. You have a captivating, heartfelt experience with nature without compromising on luxury.

Pel's Post impact highlights
The Makuleke Region falls in the epicentre of the Great Limpopo Park, which consists of Kruger National Park, the Gaza National Park in Mozambique and the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe. The Outpost is the result of a unique co-operation between private investors and the local community and is the first lodge built in this big region.
