Observing wildlife during a safari stay is a crucial aspect, and its timing is dictated by the natural rhythm. Predators tend to be less active during the daytime, prompting most hunting to occur in the early morning and late evening. As predators are most active during these times, antelopes also adjust their behavior, relaxing in the shade during the day and becoming alert and active in the early mornings and late evenings

Due to this natural schedule, our game drives are scheduled to coincide with the periods when wildlife is most active – early morning and late afternoon. While this means early starts, guests quickly acclimate, and their internal clocks adjust to the rhythms of Africa.

Game drives typically last between three and four hours, featuring a sundowner stop at sunset and a morning coffee break. Evening game drives usually return to the lodge after dark, in time for dinner. The timings of game drives are adjusted seasonally to accommodate changes in the seasons.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, optional late-night game drives can be arranged with the lodge at an additional cost. These drives, departing after dinner, focus primarily on observing nocturnal species.
