In an effort to boost the dwindling cheetah population in the wild, a relocation initiative was undertaken, transferring cheetahs to the dry Great Karoo region. For the first time in more than a century, cheetahs are now freely roaming this area, and their movements are closely monitored using GPS collars along with age-old tracking techniques pioneered by the Khoi and San bushmen, who were the region's indigenous inhabitants. Visitors will be able to join knowledgeable guides in tracking these untamed felines and then witnessing them from a close vantage point.
