As part of a conservation project to increase the wild cheetah population, cheetahs were relocated to the arid Great Karoo region. Roam is the first place in over 150 years to have free-roaming cheetahs in the area. These cheetahs are monitored with GPS collars and traditional tracking methods developed by the Khoi and San bushmen, who were the original inhabitants of the region. Visitors will have the opportunity to track these wild cats with qualified guides before observing them up close.
