Located in Meiringspoort, one of the great attractions is the waterfall which is well-hidden in a deep ravine about 12 km from De Rust. This amazing waterfall features water that flows down a 60-meter smooth rock face and ends in a 9-meter deep rock pool. In 1925, during the visit of the then Prince of Wales to South Africa, a pathway was hewn from the rock face to accommodate the Royal visitor. The crystal clear waters of the pool make it a popular destination for picnickers, swimmers, and divers alike.
