The area (Walker Bay) is well known for being the best destination globally to do land-based whale watching . Between June and December, Southern Right Whales migrate from the freezing cold waters of Antarctica to these warmer covered bays to court, mate and calf. So if you visit Mosaic Lagoon Lodge during this period then you’ll be one of the few lucky people to nicely spot whales from a close range while on land.
