Accommodation Description

Fort House is a luxurious exclusive-use villa designed for up to eight adults (plus one child), comprising four en-suite suites: two master suites and two classic rooms. Each bedroom is designed with both comfort and elegance, featuring indoor showers, outdoor showers, baths, double vanities, air conditioning, fans, mosquito nets (malaria-free), and in-room safes. There is a wine cellar, a spa treatment room, and a study for quiet moments. The indoor living and entertainment spaces flow freely into one another, creating zones for socialising, dining, relaxing, or simply enjoying views. An interactive kitchen and guest pantry support both catered or more hands-on meals. Outside, a swimming pool and central courtyard offer spaces to lounge. The villa is serviced by a dedicated team, discreetly ensuring everything is attended to.

Setting Description

Set within the sweeping flatlands of the Great Fish River valley, Fort House offers unspoilt views of a productive waterhole, expansive veld, and the dramatic landscapes of Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Wildlife often wanders past the boma and firepit, making every outdoor moment a possible safari sighting. Surrounding topography is wide and open, encouraging game drives, walks, and contemplation in nature. Access is via the reserve, which also has its own Category 3 airstrip; alternatively guests may arrive via Port Elizabeth (approximately 160 km) and drive or charter in. Evenings are framed by wide skies, natural sounds, and starlight. Whether relaxing by the pool, dining under stars, or enjoying wellness in-villa, every experience is immersed in the rhythms of the reserve.
