Breath-takingly beautiful lodge in the middle of Welgevonden game reserve with amazibg staff and great experience overall. The lodge is also a nice getaway destination for couples.

Tshwene Lodge is an amazing, peaceful and special place to unwind and relax. Staff were very attentive to our needs and ensured we had the best stay. Food was delicious and we had fantastic animal sightings with our game ranger, who was professional, cheerful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be returning.

The Welgevonden Private Game Reserve area consists of old farmlands that have been restored to their most natural form, with the reintroduction of animals that once existed in the area. Tshwene Lodge aims at maintaining these habitats formed within the diverse landscape that has become home to rare animals such as brown and spotted hyena, caracal and aardvark. The conservation work done at Welgevonden Game Reserve is out of this world, and the amount of rhinos seen in the area is testament to that.
