Zoetendal Vineyards is a scenic hideaway near the small town of Elim in the Overberg region of the Western Cape, where luxury accommodations and immersive activities await. The farm, situated on the banks of the Nuwejaars River, also forms part of the 46,000-hectare Nuwejaar Wetlands Special Management area, a nature conservancy with abundant bird, plant and wildlife.

One of just two units on the expansive property, Zoetendal Farm Cottage sleeps four in two beautiful bedrooms and also features a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a lounge with a TV. The kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher, offering the ideal fuss-free, self-catering environment to unwind and soak in the beautiful views of the farm.

The Overberg region of South Africa is known for its natural beauty and wonderful activities. Guests of Zoetendal can enjoy premium wines, guided biking rides to the town of Elim and neighbouring wine farms, leisurely game drives within the nature reserve, picnicking and canoeing off the riverfront and delicious food. 

Other activities that can be arranged in advance include a day at the beach in Struisbaai or Arniston, a trip to the most Southern Tip of Africa, tour of local wineries by car or bicycle, beach barbeque (and fishing) at Die Dam resort, local fish eating experience at Buffelsjagfontein, and a 4×4 outing on beach at Uilenskraalmond.
