Seaside simplicity
Minimalist but never cold — this house has soul. Everything you need and nothing you don’t.
On Oyster is a stylish, architecturally designed beach house in the quiet coastal enclave of Boggoms Bay along the Garden Route. This off-grid, solar-powered home offers spacious, self-catering accommodation for up to six guests. The open-plan living area is flooded with natural light, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass doors that frame the ocean beyond. The interiors are minimal yet warm, with polished concrete floors, wooden details, and a fireplace for cooler evenings. The house includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, including a sheltered braai area.
Perfect for couples, families, or small groups, On Oyster provides barefoot luxury and privacy just steps from an untouched stretch of beach. The home’s layout encourages slow, thoughtful living - with stunning sea views, a quiet atmosphere, and thoughtful design details that make it more than just a holiday home.
Nestled in the coastal village of Boggoms Bay near Mossel Bay, On Oyster is ideally located for a peaceful, nature-focused escape. Surrounded by fynbos and long stretches of pristine beach, it’s part of the Fransmanshoek Conservancy — a protected area rich in biodiversity. The area is ideal for long beach walks, whale and dolphin spotting, and simply soaking up the wild charm of the Cape’s southern coast. With no shops, restaurants or busy roads in the immediate vicinity, Boggoms Bay offers a rare sense of seclusion while still being within easy reach of Mossel Bay and the greater Garden Route.
