Accommodation Description

The Boteti Villa is a private, two-tent retreat on the banks of the Boteti River, roughly 20 minutes from Maun and a world away from everything else. Designed for couples or families of up to four, the villa comprises two separate tented rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom — shower, toilet and basin — connected to the outdoors through a sliding glass door. The private deck and plunge pool overlook the Boteti River, where hippos, crocodiles and an extraordinary range of birdlife are your closest neighbours. Rates include breakfast and dinner daily, a complimentary sunset mokoro safari on the river, and return transfers from Maun Airport. The lodge's signature Mogotse-inspired aesthetic — large acacia-shaded decks and organic bush materials — gives the villa an atmosphere that is raw, alive, and entirely its own.

Setting Description

The Boteti Tented Safari Lodge occupies a remote riverbank setting along the Boteti River, a tributary that originates deep within the Okavango Delta. Its position outside Maun makes it a centrally located base from which to explore some of southern Africa's finest wilderness areas — Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai, Savuti and the Chobe are all within reach, with guided game drives, mokoro safaris on the Delta, scenic flights, horseback safaris and boating and fishing trips all on offer. The surrounding bush teems with wildlife: hippo and crocodile are regularly spotted from the river deck, while birdlife is abundant year-round. Evenings are spent around the fire or under an open Botswana sky, with traditional meals and the kind of silence that most travellers travel far to find.
