Each tent features an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, solar lighting and a private deck with uninterrupted views of the pan. The atmosphere of the camp is warm and unpretentious, supported by relaxed communal areas that include a lounge, dining tent and firepit with sweeping views of the water. Set within the vast Khwai Private Reserve, Elephant’s Pan enjoys a privileged location on an open floodplain where woodland, savanna and seasonal waterways meet. The natural pan in front of camp acts as a magnet for wildlife throughout the day—elephants, antelope, predators and an extraordinary diversity of birdlife frequently gather here, often visible directly from the deck. This part of the Delta offers both land- and water-based exploration depending on seasonal conditions. Game drives reveal lions, leopards, wild dogs and herds of elephants moving between riverine forest and open grassland. When water levels are high, mokoro excursions glide through shallow channels for a quieter, more immersive perspective of the ecosystem.
