Accommodation Description
Sable Alley offers twelve elevated tented suites (nine twin/doubles, one honeymoon, two family) each measuring approximately 55 m², nestled above timber walkways and overlooking a lily-covered lagoon frequented by hippos and elephants. Inside, you’ll find a spacious bedroom with twin or double bed, seating area, writing desk and floor-to-ceiling mesh doors that open to the front deck. At the rear of the tent you’ll find twin basins, indoor shower, flush loo and an outdoor rain-shower for a true bush bathing experience. Wide verandas invite lingering with a coffee or cocktail as wildlife plays out across the lagoon. The main area features a bar, lounge, swimming pool and sun deck, enabling both high-end comfort and close connection with the wild surroundings.
Setting Description
Sable Alley is located within the 200,000-hectare Khwai Private Reserve, a wilderness area in the north-east of the Okavango Delta, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve to the south and Chobe National Park to the east. The camp is set on the bank of a permanent lagoon, providing “front-row seats” to wildlife such as elephants, buffalo and hippos that drink and play at water’s edge. The surrounding landscape comprises a diverse mix of floodplains, open waterways, mopane and acacia woodlands, offering rich habitat for predators and plains game alike. Sable Alley is open year-round and offers compelling game viewing in all seasons, thanks to resident wildlife and the varied terrain.
