Accommodation Description

At the heart of the historic farm-lodge setting of Ololo Safari Lodge & Farm lies the Stable Rooms and the adjoining 3-Bedroom Stable Cottage, both converted from the property’s original stone-walled stables and hay shed. The Stable Rooms consist of seven individually styled double and twin rooms with heritage stone walls, garden terraces and en-suite bathrooms, restoring the old farm’s character into warm guest accommodation. The larger Stable Cottage accommodates a minimum of four guests, up to six guests across three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living area with kitchenette, and a large outdoor terrace opening onto the garden and bush edge. All units benefit from access to the lodge’s full amenities: the pool and deck that face the park, farm-to-table restaurant, guest lounge with fireplace and library, and guided game drives into Nairobi National Park. Whether you stay in a Stable Room or the Cottage, you are positioned in the original heart of the property with easy access to both the refined lodge spaces and the wild edge of bushland.

Setting Description

Set on a working twenty-acre farm at the banks of the Mbagathi River and directly bordering Nairobi National Park, Ololo’s Stables accommodation enjoys both tranquility and safari energy. The stone-stable conversion sits among mature gardens, native trees and paths that lead toward open savannah views. From your terrace you may spot birdlife, dik-dik or bushbuck wandering near the garden edge; the park-gate is only minutes away. While staying here, you are just 45 minutes from Nairobi’s main airports yet feel a world from the city. The ancient farm ethos meets the rhythms of the wild. The larger Cottage offers extra privacy and space for families or groups, still within walking distance of the lodge’s pool, restaurant, bar and lounge. In the cooler evenings you might sit around the fire-pit in the stone courtyard of the stables section, or enjoy a nightcap by the fireplace in the main lounge.
