Accommodation Description
Mokuti Etosha is a premium safari lodge set on its own private 4,300-hectare nature reserve, just 40 metres from the Von Lindequist Gate - making it the closest lodge to Etosha National Park. The rooms are housed in thatched, chalet-style buildings spread across lush landscaped gardens, offering garden or bush views. Room categories include Standard Rooms, Luxury Rooms with open-plan lounges and sleeper couches, and Luxury Family Rooms with a separate bedroom, lounge and shared bathroom. All rooms are air-conditioned and include satellite TV, minibar, safe, WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, and en-suite bathrooms with showers. The broader lodge offers three swimming pools, a full-service spa, gym, floodlit tennis courts, an on-site reptile park, multiple dining venues, and a curio shop. The name "Mokuti" means "in the forest" in Ovambo — an apt description for this cool, green oasis in the heart of the Namibian bush.
Setting Description
Positioned right on the border of Etosha National Park in northern Namibia, Mokuti Etosha offers one of the most convenient bases for exploring one of Africa's great wildlife destinations. Etosha is renowned for its vast salt pan, prolific elephant populations, large prides of lion, leopard, black and white rhino, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and hundreds of bird species. The Von Lindequist Gate — just a few minutes' drive from the lodge — opens into the eastern sector of the park, known for its excellent waterhole game-viewing. Beyond the park, the area holds further attractions including the historic Namutoni Fort, the Hoba Meteorite near Grootfontein, and the sinkhole lake of Lake Oshikoto. The lodge's own reserve has three waterholes, resident bontebok, duiker, dik-dik and mongoose wandering the grounds, and a network of walking trails — making wildlife encounters possible well before you even reach the park gate.
