Located on a private nature reserve in the Naukluft Mountains in southern Namibia, 110 km from the Sossusvlei Dunescape
BuellSport Lodge & Farm spans 99.34 km2, with over half dedicated to agricultural land in the plains at the foot of the Naukluft Mountains. The remainder is a mountainous private nature reserve, home to quiver trees and mountain zebras. The farm combines 43.4 km2 of nature reserve with nearly 56 km² of sheep farmland.
Our farm is situated in the fascinating geological formation of the Naukluft Mountains, boasting interesting fauna, flora, and exceptional bird watching. It is home to the rare Hartmann Mountain Zebra, protected in a 5000-hectare private nature park. You can visit any time of year, though it is cooler from May to July, which is excellent for hiking, while December and January can be very hot. Local rainfalls are rare, occurring mainly in February and March, with annual rainfall not exceeding 180 mm, creating an arid landscape. The area is malaria-free, with no required vaccinations or tropical infections.
Access is easy with a sedan car; no 4x4 is necessary. We are located off-road C14, 110 km north of Maltahöhe.
The Naukluft experience showcases the Naukluft Massif, one of Namibia's last pristine wilderness areas. Ever-flowing fountains, unique flora and fauna, and diverse birdlife create a perfect setting for hiking, horseback riding, and more. Hiking here offers peace and tranquillity, contrasting with the fast-paced, entertainment-driven world. A visit to the famous Quiver Tree Gorge and the Naukluft plateau is necessary. Horseback riding provides a close encounter with wildlife and nature, from hourly lessons to multi-day events.
