Accommodation Description
Gondwana Namib Desert Campsite offers scenic dune-side camping surrounded by the striking views of Sesriem and Sossusvlei in Namibia. It provides a peaceful desert retreat where guests can immerse themselves in the extraordinary natural surroundings of the Namibian wilderness.
The campsite offers three well-equipped, private sites nestled under acacia trees along a dry riverbed. Each site includes power points, barbecue facilities, and access to shared ablution facilities, ensuring a comfortable experience in the heart of the desert.

Located in the vast Namib Desert, the campsite is surrounded by towering, fossilised dunes and dramatic desert landscapes, offering unmatched tranquillity. The views of Sesriem and Sossusvlei create a surreal, awe-inspiring atmosphere, ideal for those seeking solitude and a connection to nature.

Great Facilities
The facilities were great, warm water, electric outlets, light, big clean showers. You can use the restaurant and pool at the lodge, this was very nice!

The campsite is lovely – it is so remote it allows unforgettable views of the night sky. The ablution block was super clean and spacious.

How to get there
From Windhoek:
Take the B1 south towards Rehoboth. Turn off just after Rehoboth on to the C24. Drive the C24 all the way till you arrive at a tjunction (160 km). Once you reach the tjunction turn right in the direction of Solitaire. Once you reach Solitaire on the C19 continue in a southerly direction for approximately 40 km. The lodge is well signposted on this road and on your right side.
From Swakopmund:
Take the B2 in the direction of Walvis Bay. From Walvis Bay take the C14 in the direction of Solitaire. Once you reach Solitaire on the C19 continue in a southerly direction for approximately 40 km. The lodge is well signposted on this road and on your right side.
