Moon Mountain Lodge is a luxury tented lodge situated at the foot of the Naukluft Mountains, offering an unparalleled experience in the heart of the Namibian wilderness. The lodge features 17 exquisitely designed accommodations, each boasting a private plunge pool and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains or desert landscape. Guests can choose from Executive Suites, Luxury Rooms, or Standard Twin Rooms, all thoughtfully appointed to ensure comfort and relaxation. The Executive Suites offer detached private bathrooms with deep soaking bathtubs, double sinks, and rainfall showerheads, while the Luxury Rooms provide en-suite facilities and private splash pools.
The lodge's Nebula Restaurant serves locally-inspired cuisine, and the Cosmos Bar offers a selection of refreshing beverages with panoramic desert views. The lodge is situated on the foot of a hill. Special care was taken to preserve the natural environment when the lodge was built. Almost the entire lodge is built on stilts and elevated from the ground to ensure maximum airflow and minimum impact on the area. Recycled plastic and other materials were used instead of natural wood. Water from the lodge is recycled to ecologically friendly grey-water to prevent soil pollution.
Join our afternoon property excursion to the top of a mountain for breathtaking views. The activity includes onboard refreshments and snacks. The drive departs 1 hour before sunset.
Hiking Trails on the property are safe and can be done unguided.
Guests who want to visit Sossuvlei, Sesriem Canyon, and Dead Vlei must use their own or hired 4x4 vehicles. The lodge does not offer this activity.
Hot air Ballooning can be booked on behalf of the guests from the lodge and is weather permitting.
