Lovely getaway
My sister and I enjoyed our overall experience in the Kwessi Dunes Lodge. Service was great and the staff was friendly and had good attention to detail. Our guide, Rocky, was very kind and knowledgeable. We hope to be back with the rest of our family soon

Beautiful Place
Where the Dunes and Mountain views greet you with an array of earth tones along with an abundance of oryx at the watering hole. Great hospitality from the friendly staff rounded off with even better food. Not to mention stargazing from the skybed. Till we meet again Kwessi Dunes
Kwessi Dunes is an immersive Sossusvlei safari camp surrounded by the stark beauty of Namibia’s NamibRand Nature Reserve. Located within one of the largest private nature reserves in Southern Africa, the camp provides a gateway to a mesmerising desert landscape characterised by rolling red sand dunes, vast golden plains and rugged mountain ranges.
The camp features 12 thatch and canvas chalets, each designed to blend seamlessly with the desert landscape. Each chalet offers a spacious bedroom with a four-poster bed, an en-suite bathroom equipped with both indoor and outdoor showers, and a shaded verandah for relaxation. Each unit also features a separate 'star gazer' room, allowing guests to sleep under the expansive Namibian night sky.
Situated in the heart of the 215,000-hectare NamibRand Nature Reserve, Kwessi Dunes offers guests unparalleled access to the region's iconic red sand dunes and the photogenic Deadvlei. The main lodge area boasts large glass windows and doors, offering panoramic views of the magnificent desert landscape that stretches to distant mountains.
Guests can enjoy guided nature walks to explore the local flora and fauna, scenic drives to witness the diverse landscapes, and quad biking adventures across the vast desert plains. Additionally, the camp offers excursions to the nearby Sossusvlei dunes and Deadvlei, providing opportunities to climb some of the world's tallest sand dunes and photograph the striking white clay pan dotted with ancient camelthorn trees.
