A beautiful lodge on the bank of the Kunene River. Our room looked onto the water as it fell over the waterfall, so you could see the mist rising from the waterfall
Epupa Falls Lodge offers full-board waterside chalets overlooking the cascading water and Kunene River in North West Namibia. Located in one of the most remote and untouched corners of the country, the lodge provides an extraordinary blend of comfort and wilderness, where guests can enjoy a truly immersive nature experience. The lodge is renowned for its unique setting, with each chalet designed to offer the best views of the spectacular Epupa Falls and the surrounding landscapes. It is not only a tranquil retreat but also a place that fosters a deep connection with the environment and the local Himba culture.
The lodge features five free-standing river-view chalets elevated on stilts, each accommodating two guests. These chalets are equipped with fans, and en-suite bathrooms with showers, and offer stunning views of the Kunene River and Epupa Falls. For couples seeking seclusion, the honeymoon chalet offers a private setting with amenities such as a fan, small bar fridge, lounge area, and en-suite bathroom.
Located along the banks of the Kunene River in North West Namibia, Epupa Falls Lodge is surrounded by lush vegetation and ancient baobab trees, blending seamlessly into its natural environment. The main lodge, perched on a wooden deck, houses the dining and bar areas, offering panoramic views of the river and waterfalls. A swimming pool, situated on a higher level behind the campsites, provides an ideal spot to relax and escape the midday heat. The lodge's design incorporates 90% local materials, reflecting a harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape.

Directions to Epupa Falls Lodge & Campsite from Opuwo:
Take the C43 gravel road northwards.
This road will take you through the villages of Epembe and Okongwati.
Follow all the way to Epupa.
As you come into the village of Epupa, you will see on your right the new Namibian Police buildings and on your left rows and rows of Makalani Palm trees.
We are the first lodge & campsite on the left.
Our chalets are on stilts and cannot be missed.
Location in relation to the falls ? our chalets and restaurant area look right onto the top of the falls.
Directions to Epupa Falls Lodge & Campsite from Ruacana:
Option A: Take the C35 and head southwards to Etosha.
Turn west on the C39 and head to Opuwo.
Follow directions as described above.
Option B: From Ruacana take the gravel D3700 along the Cunene River westwards.
At Swartbooisdrift turn onto the D3701 and head to Epembe.
From Epembe follow the C43 northwards to Epupa. (Directions above).
Option C: From Ruacana take the gravel D3700 along the Cunene River westwards all the way to Epupa Falls Lodge in Epupa. (4x4 Recommended)

Epupa Falls Lodge can be reached by any type of car during the dry season; however, a 4×4 is recommended during the wet season.
