Wonderful views
Giraffe came up to the lodge in the late afternoon. The private game drive in the evening was excellent and very informative.
Elephants Lodge at Bellevue Forest Reserve offers an elegant, family-friendly safari experience in the heart of the malaria-free Eastern Cape. This thatched lodge features five spacious, tastefully furnished rooms accommodating up to 12 guests. Each room includes a king-size bed (or twin ¾ beds), en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, and sliding doors that open onto a private patio with sweeping views of the indigenous forest. Amenities such as personal safes, cooling fans, hairdryers, and tea/coffee stations enhance the comfort of your stay.
The lodge's communal areas include indoor and outdoor lounges, dining spaces, a well-stocked bar, and a wide sundowner deck overlooking the forest. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the lodge, though the absence of televisions encourages guests to connect with nature and each other. Guests can choose between Bed-and-Breakfast or Full Board packages, the latter including all meals and two daily activities.
Nestled within the 2,500-hectare Bellevue Forest Reserve, Elephants Lodge provides a tranquil retreat surrounded by dense, misty forests and open plains. The reserve is home to a variety of wildlife, including the Big Five, and offers guests the opportunity to engage in activities such as game drives, giraffe tracking, and bird watching.
