Accommodation Description


Induli Lodge at Amakhala Game Reserve offers boutique thatched safari suites in the beautiful Eastern Cape wilderness. Situated on the 22,000-acre malaria-free reserve, Induli provides an intimate and luxurious safari experience, focusing on personalised service and conservation efforts. The name "Induli," meaning "hilltop" in isiXhosa, reflects the lodge's elevated position, offering guests panoramic views of the surrounding bushveld.


The lodge features three exclusive suites, each designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment. Constructed using stone and thatch, the suites incorporate natural hues and earthy tones, maximising light and views. Each suite includes a private deck, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the wilderness while enjoying modern comforts. The open-plan design emphasises fresh air and sweeping vistas, creating a tranquil retreat in the heart of the reserve.


Setting Description


Induli Lodge is built into the natural bush line, offering guests a secluded and tranquil environment. The main lodge area includes a thatch-and-canvas dining and lounge area with an expansive deck overlooking the Greater Addo plains. Guests can often see a variety of game species such as zebra, giraffe, buffalo, and elephant from the deck, while the haunting cry of fish eagles echoes across the valley. The camp's location provides a perfect blend of comfort and adventure, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of the African bush.

How to get there

From Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport 1. Head north on Airport W Rd for 49 meters. 2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Allister Miller Dr. Go through 1 roundabout (1.4 km). 3. Turn left onto Forest Hill N/B Rd and continue for 850 meters. 4. Use the left lane to turn right onto Walmer Blvd/M9 for 600 meters. 5. Drive along N2 for approximately 45 minutes (69.5 km). 6. Use the left two lanes to turn left onto M4 (signs for R75/Grahamstown/Uitenhage) and continue for 6.8 km. 7. Use the right two lanes to take exit 751B to merge onto N2 toward Grahamstown, then continue for 45.5 km. 8. Use the left lane to take the N2 ramp to Grahamstown for 1.6 km. 9. Continue onto N2 for 15.6 km. 10. Drive to your destination: Turn left (3.8 km) and then left again. 11. The destination will be on your right after 1.2 km. Arrive at your destination Induli Lodge, Amakhala Game Reserve Grahamstown 6139.
