Lands End Private Game Reserve Homestead is a self-catering villa on the banks of the Kariega River in the Eastern Cape. This private, family-owned game farm offers guests total privacy and can be booked exclusively for families, corporate groups, or friends seeking a secluded retreat. Designed for comfort and relaxation, the homestead provides a tranquil escape surrounded by the natural beauty of the Eastern Cape.


The homestead accommodates up to 25 guests across six well-appointed bedrooms. These include five rooms with king beds, some featuring additional single beds, as well as a spacious dorm room with bunk beds and an en-suite bathroom. The villa is fully equipped for a comfortable stay, featuring a wood fireplace, an undercover stoep, a gas oven and stove, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, and a Nespresso machine. Outdoor amenities include a braai area, a swimming pool, a wood-fired hot tub, and a fire pit offering spectacular sunset views.

Located between the coastal town of Port Alfred and the historic charm of Makhanda (Grahamstown), Lands End Private Game Reserve spans a diverse and captivating landscape in Frontier Country. From rugged cliffs and open grassy plains dotted with thorn trees to dense ravine thickets and lush forests, the reserve offers a rich and varied environment teeming with wildlife. Situated in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, it provides an authentic African bush experience, complemented by warm Eastern Cape hospitality and breathtaking scenery.


Guests can immerse themselves in a variety of outdoor activities that highlight the reserve’s natural beauty. Self-guided game drives allow for close encounters with wildlife such as blesbuck, black impala, nyala, kudu, bushbuck, and waterbuck.
