Baris Clarens Guesthouse is situated 10km from Clarens in the picturesque Eastern Free State. 300Km from Johannesburg and 280km from Bloemfontein, we are ideally located for a weekend break. Golden Gate National Park is only 30km from our premises.

For the adventurous two easy hiking trails on the farm promises views of the valley at the foot of the northern slopes of the Witteberg Mountains. Hikers can look forward to sightings of zebra, impala, wildebeest and more.
Only 10km to the south, Clarens is known for the beautiful natural surroundings that include mountains, pristine dams, rivers and streams. Although many would pick the intensely colorful autumn or winter with its possibility of snow as favorites, each season has a special charm. Clarens and surroundings offer an endless list of activity and fun, such as restaurants and galleries, horseback riding, golf, 4x4 trails, mountain biking, fly fishing, hot air balloon ride and much more.
