Accommodation Description

Farside Macadamias is a cosy loft-style retreat set on a working macadamia farm just outside Riversdale. The timber-clad Classic Loft sleeps up to five guests in two en-suite bedrooms: one with a queen-size bed and a second room with three single beds, ideal for friends or a small family. Bathrooms are modern, with showers, quality linen and complimentary toiletries.

An open-plan living and dining area flows into a compact kitchenette equipped with fridge-freezer, two-plate gas hob, microwave, toaster and kitchenware, making self-catering straightforward. Glass doors lead to an outdoor entertainment area with fire pit, braai and relaxed seating for slow evenings outside. Free Wi-Fi, secure on-site parking, tea and coffee, self check-in via smart lock and supplied firewood on arrival keep the stay low-fuss yet comfortable.

Setting Description

Farside Macadamias rests at the base of the Sleeping Beauty section of the Langeberg Mountains, surrounded by orchards, fields and mountain views in the Garden Route countryside. Access is via a gravel road off the R323, about 14–15 km from Riversdale’s centre, so you feel comfortably remote while still being close enough for shops, cafés and supplies.

This is a working macadamia farm producing its own nuts, oils, honey and fresh eggs; guests can join walking tours, learn about the orchards and buy farm produce to enjoy back at the loft. The surrounding area offers mountain biking routes, hiking and walking trails, as well as kayaking and fishing, including bass fishing, for those who like time outdoors. Riversdale Golf Club, the local bowls club and annual events such as the Ultra Trail Sleeping Beauty add a quietly energetic, small-town backdrop to your stay.
