Accommodation Description
The Forest Tents at Peace of Eden Vegan Nature Lodge offer a secluded, nature-immersed escape just outside Knysna along the Garden Route. These two off-grid forest tents are set on raised wooden decks, each tucked beneath a canopy of trees with views overlooking indigenous forest. The tents sleep two guests each and are styled with simple comforts: canvas walls, wooden floors, a comfy double bed, bedside lamps, chairs, and eco-friendly touches that stay true to the lodge’s ethos.
Each tent has its own private outdoor compost loo and eco-shower, placed just a few steps away in the forest, offering a unique yet comfortable experience of sustainable living. A shared forest kitchen is available for self-catering, equipped with all the basics, and there’s a small braai area nearby for evenings under the stars. These tents are perfect for nature-lovers and conscious travellers seeking stillness, simplicity and a digital detox.
Setting Description
Peace of Eden lies along the quiet Rheenendal Road near Knysna, surrounded by towering trees, walking trails, birdlife, and fynbos-covered hills. The Forest Tents are nestled deep in the indigenous forest, offering privacy, stillness and a deep sense of connection with the natural world. From here, you can explore the nearby Knysna Forest, swim in forest streams, or take a short drive to the coast. The property is also close to the famed Jubilee Creek trails and the historical sites of the forest woodcutter communities.

We are in the heart of the Garden Route, an area rich in natural beauty covering approx 250 km's.
We are just outside Knysna on a charming country road that leads to Rheenendal and the old Gold mining Village of Millwood and Jubilee creek,deep in the ancient forests of Knysna.
Close by there are 5 star Health Spa's, Night Clubs, Outdoor events and many Sports and Music Festivals happen in Knysna during the year.
