Perched amongst the idyllic greenery of the Garden Route, just outside the seaside town of Plettenberg Bay and the village of Nature's Valley, is The Crags. This is a gorgeous area that offers plenty of attractions and activities.
The Crags stands out as a place that offers a stunning variety of wildlife that can be enjoyed, particularly at the many sanctuaries. Birds of Eden is a sanctuary home to around 3,500 birds and around 200 species. These birds fly freely in the world's largest single-dome free-flight aviary. Monkeyland, next door to Birds of Eden, provides an authentic forest habitat for rescued primates. These include exotic lemurs, gibbons and spider monkeys. The Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary is a place of safety for many wild cats (including lions, black leopards, jaguars and pumas), and many other exciting species. Other wildlife attractions in and around The Crags include the elephant sanctuary, Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre, and the Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary.

From George Airport:
1. Turn right towards and onto the R404 and drive 100 m.
2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the R404 and drive 2.4 km.
3. Turn left to merge onto the N2 and drive 400 m.
4. Merge onto the N2 and drive 11.2 km.
5. Use any lane to take the exit towards the N2 and drive 1.2 km.
6. Continue onto the N2 for 85.3 km.
7. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on the N2 for 18.7 km.
8. Turn left onto Redford Rd and drive 4.2 km.
9. Turn left onto Rondebosch Rd and drive 800 m.
10. Turn left to stay on Rondebosch Rd for 130 m.
11. Destination will be on the right at 8 Rondebosch Road, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay.
