Accommodation Description
iKhaya LamaDube Game Lodge is an adults-only, self-catering bush escape in the malaria-free Dinokeng Game Reserve, just north of Pretoria. The lodge caters exclusively to couples and solo travellers seeking a peaceful retreat in the wild, with no children allowed under 16. Accommodation includes a range of uniquely designed units: Log Cabins, Luxury Safari Tents, a Honeymoon Suite, and Eco Cabins—each offering privacy and a tranquil atmosphere. All units are air-conditioned and feature en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, and private braai areas. Select units have private splash pools or spa baths.
Setting Description
Set within South Africa’s only Big Five game reserve in Gauteng, iKhaya LamaDube offers an intimate safari experience just over an hour from Johannesburg. The lodge is surrounded by indigenous bushveld, attracting wildlife and bird species, with frequent visits from antelope and the occasional predator. Guests can explore the reserve on self-drives or pre-booked guided game drives. The lodge is conveniently located near Johannesburg and Pretoria, making it ideal for weekend getaways.

Self-catering destination in a malaria free Big5 Game Reserve on the doorstep of Johannesburg and Pretoria.
This is the place where romance, peace and serenity awaits you in a natural African bush setting. IKhaya LamaDube strives to provide their guests with a true atmosphere of relaxation, seclusion and tranquility.
A variety of private and intimate accommodation is available to suit individual preferences. Each of the eight units accommodates two persons only.
Each unit has a private bushveld boma for a braai under the stars.
Ideal also for small groups or friends to book the lodge in its entirety, be it a small conference, wedding or just a getaway.
Animals that can be seen either on Game drive safari or self-drive: Big Five - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Cheetah and plains game.
Due to Lightning iKhaya sadly lost their Big5 Log house in a fire, but exciting is, that now our two beautiful and luxurious self- catering units are completed. They contain private splash pool, Indoor and outdoor shower, fireplace, bath with a view, undercover braai on patio, and open boma. These designs are unique and designed by well-known architects Crafford and Crafford.
A no young children policy creates an opportunity for parents and couples to unwind and relax.

How to get there
Suggested Route:
Follow the N1 to the Hammanskraal/Boekenhoutskloof Offramp (tollgate). Follow the Boekenhoutskloof signs onto the Gravel Road. After 150m you enter the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve at the NDLOVU GATE. Follow that road for 10 km until you find our entrance road to the left, just before the fence of the Boekenhoutskloof Military Base ( if you drive through another Game Reserve gate, (Ts'ukulu Gate) you are 300m too far ).
Continue on that road up to the Lodge. You will reach the Lodge after about 6.5 km, just follow the road always straight on, after the low water bridge turn LEFT.
Attention: No Arrivals allowed after 19:30 at the Lodge. You will forfeit your booking for that night without refund.
