Accommodation Description

Set on an organic lifestyle farm outside Magaliesburg, Puschka Farm offers three characterful self-catering cottages sleeping 2–8 guests. Puschka Stone Cottage and Puschka Writer’s Cottage are intimate, off-grid hideaways with solar lighting, gas appliances, wood-burning stoves and natural plunge pools - ideal for couples who enjoy simple comforts and dark, starry nights. Puschka House, the larger farmhouse, suits families or small groups, with four bedrooms, a generous farm kitchen, spacious living and dining area, fireplace, DSTV and its own splash pool.

Each cottage has an outdoor braai area and fully fenced garden so children and dogs can roam safely. All units are privately positioned yet close to walking trails, river picnic spots and the farm’s animals. Stays are self-catering with a minimum of two nights booked per stay.

Setting Description

Located in the Naauwpoort Valley in the foothills of the Magaliesberg, Puschka Farm is an organically run lifestyle farm with Nguni cattle, Meatmaster sheep, poultryields. Guests are surrounded by wide open views, birdsong and the sound of the Hex River as it winds through the property. Walking trails lead up the hillsides and along the riverside for picnics, swims in natural pools and leisurely dog walks.

Mountain bikers can follow farm roads and quiet dirt tracks, while birdwatchers look out for prolific birdlife and occasional sightings of kudu, jackal, bushbuck or warthog in the surrounding bush. On selected weekends, “Cooking in the Country” classes turn Puschka House into a relaxed farm kitchen classroom, combining hands-on cooking with generous shared meals. Magaliesburg’s restaurants, farm stalls and adventure activities are within an easy drive, yet the farm itself feels a world away from Johannesburg for weekend escapes and short midweek breaks.
