Africa on Foot is a small and exclusive hideaway located in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger region in Limpopo, South Africa. It is renowned for its exceptional guided walking safaris and informative game drives, making it a top choice for safari enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable adventure in a Big Five destination.
The camp offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing guests with just five brick and thatch chalets, each decorated with rustic decor and accents inspired by the surrounding bushveld and equipped with mosquito nets, showers, and standing fans. For a more adventurous experience, guests can book the treehouse at an additional cost. The camp features a charming bar area, a communal dining space, and an outdoor boma for shared meals and socialsing. During the summer, guests can relax and cool off in one of the two splash pools, complete with decking and sun loungers.
Klaserie Private Nature Reserve shares unfenced edges with adjacent reserves and the Kruger National Park, designed to facilitate the unobstructed and safeguarded roaming of wildlife over a span exceeding 2 million hectares. Exploring the Greater Kruger Park through safaris opens doors to an extraordinary array of opulent game lodges, immersive safaris, engaging activities, and guided tours, all converging to craft an extraordinarily unforgettable wildlife experience.
The camp offers morning bush walks and evening game drives, led by professional guides and trackers, within the expansive 13,000-hectare traverse. In the event of unpredictable weather, game drives may replace walks to ensure guests can enjoy two activities per day. This allows guests to fully enjoy the diverse wildlife and natural beauty of the reserve.

Enjoyed The Place
We enjoyed our morning walks and the rustic feel of the camp. The staff members made our stay really great-always available to help and they were really friendly. The interns assisted us with bird watching and we saw the African Scops owl in the camp.

So Refreshing
My partner and I spent two nights at Africa on Foot. Our room was nice and cosy and located next to the wilds. We loved taking showers outside right next to the nature. It was so refreshing.

From Hazyview:
Follow the R40 towards Klaserie & Hoedspruit and about 6 km before you reach Hoedspruit itself, turn right at the signboard towards Eastgate Airport/Thornybush Reserve/Timbavati Reserve (Argyle Road). After 300m you will go through a control
gate and then head directly for the Timbavati Game Reserve Gate. 17km later look out for Bush Pub & Inn on your left and Josmacs Bush Pub on your right hand side. In front of you now will be the new Timbavati Gate (Nkhulu Gate). Enter at the Timbavati Gate and drive 6.4km, with the fence line on your left hand side. Turn left onto the dirt road when the fence line ends.
Drive a further 3.5km on the dirt road with a new fence line on your left hand side. You will come to a 4 way crossing. Turn right at this crossway. Drive a further 2.5km until you see a sign for Ross and Africa on Foot and nThambo Tree Camp. Turn left here and drive along the dirt road until you see the sign for
Africa on Foot Camp. Do not get out of your car until you reach the lodge. You may see some wildlife on your way if you do, slow down and maintain a good distance. Do not drive offroad in any circumstances.
