Nsala Wilderness Camp offers an authentic safari experience in the heart of the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. As a small and intimate camp, it prioritises privacy, seclusion, and a raw connection to nature. Unfenced boundaries allow wildlife to roam freely between the reserve and Kruger, providing guests with unparalleled sightings and a true sense of the African bush.
Nsala Wilderness Camp is perched on an elevated area, overlooking a small waterhole frequented by elephants, and just features five traditional thatched chalets designed to immerse guests in nature while providing comfort and simplicity. Each chalet is spacious and blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings, perfectly positioned for privacy allowing guests to enjoy views of the bushveld and occasional wildlife from their doorstep.
Located within the Umbabat Reserve, Nsala Wilderness Camp is surrounded by pristine bushveld and overlooks a dry riverbed and waterhole, frequented by elephants, antelope, and other wildlife. Its location offers guests a true wilderness escape, far from the distractions of modern life. The camp is completely off the grid, adding to the sense of remoteness and connection to the African landscape. The serene setting provides a tranquil backdrop for game viewing, birdwatching, and moments of quiet reflection.
Guests can embark on guided morning and evening game drives with experienced rangers, offering opportunities to spot the Big Five. Walking safaris allow for a closer, more intimate experience of the bush, while night drives provide thrilling encounters with nocturnal animals. The camp’s waterhole also offers prime game viewing, with animals frequently visiting for a drink, allowing guests to enjoy wildlife sightings from the comfort of the lodge.

Beautiful Safari Getaway
Nsala is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Away from civilization surrounded by beautiful nature, super cool animals (saw the big five) and super nice people.
