Accommodation Description
At this private naturereserve you have access to three distinct campsites and one bush camp, all offered for exclusive-group bookings. Each site allows you to pitch your own tent or bring a trailer (equipment not supplied). The sites are intentionally off-grid - none of the main camps receive standard mains electricity, which enhances the back-to-nature feel. Ablution facilities vary by site, with hot water supplied via gas or wood burners on selected sites. Choose between a spacious lawn-based campsite suitable for larger groups and more rugged cliff-edge or riverside options tailored for smaller groups. Regardless of your choice, the experience centres on privacy, nature immersion and an authentic camping atmosphere.
Setting Description
The reserve spans several hundred hectares of mixed savannah, woodland, valley thickets, wetlands, forested gorges and dramatic cliff formations. A tributary stream flows through the property, adding to the sense of wilderness and allowing for natural-bush ambience. The campsites are located away from other bookings - so you’ll rarely see other guests. While you’re a short drive from the city’s edge, the sense of seclusion is strong: without mains electricity, you’ll be more aware of the rhythms of the land. Trails wind through the reserve, offering exposure to its striking geology, abundant bird-life and in-situ flora. It’s a location where you feel rooted in nature rather than just visiting it.
