Accommodation Description

Duiker Game Lodge is a peaceful wildlife retreat located in the heart of Zululand just outside Hluhluwe, KwaZulu Natal. Tucked away in the shadow of the Ntambane Hills and the land of the delicious queen pineapple, a nearby waterhole, animal sightings, Umbrella Acacia, Fever Trees, blue skies and magnificent sunsets create the perfect African Savannah experience – true food for the soul. 

The lodge features just eight chalets in the bush, linked to the main lodge via paved walkways. The main lodge has a wrap-around verandah with comfortable seating areas overlooking grass lawns and a sparkling swimming pool, as well as a braai boma, fire pit, dining room and a spacious library lounge. Delicious meals are prepared in the lodge kitchen and served al fresco or inside the cosy dining room.

Setting Description

The heart of Zululand, located just outside of Hluhluwe in KwaZulu Natal, is a region rich in cultural heritage and natural beauty. Known for its lush landscapes and proximity to the renowned Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve, the area offers a unique blend of wildlife experiences and deep Zulu traditions. 

Guests of Duiker Game Lodge can enjoy daily game drives, experiencing the dawn chorus of the plentiful bird population with a hot cup of coffee, or soak up the vibrant colours of the sunset with a chilled drink in hand as nature retires for the night ahead. The reserve features a large variety of plains game including giraffes, sable, kudu, zebra, nyala, wildebeest, impala and reedbuck, and even the elusive leopard, aardvark and hyena.
