Each tent features a fridge-freezer, fans, full cutlery and crockery set, plus bed linen and bath towels. Bathrooms offer an outdoor shower and toilet for an immersive open-air experience. A private boma accompanies each tent, fitted with a two‑plate gas cooker and braai facilities. Guests also have access to a shared communal boma with DSTV, a viewing deck, firepit, and extra cooking space. The property’s communal splash pool completes a relaxed bush escape that blends simple comforts with authentic wilderness vibes.

Setting Description

Lying along the southern shore of Pongolapoort (Jozini) Dam within a protected bird sanctuary, these safari tents immerse guests in Zululand’s vibrant landscapes. Expect wildlife sightings, including hippos and crocodiles at the water’s edge, elephants, buffalo, rhino, and giraffe wandering nearby.

The dam spans approximately 16 000 ha, famed for its tiger fishing on both boat and shore using catch‑and‑release. With over 400 bird species—Heuglin’s robin, pink‑backed pelican, osprey—the scene is a nature lover’s delight. The tents are enclosed by electric fencing, ensuring guest safety while embracing the wilderness day and night.
