Mountain Cabin

Situated on the fringe of a natural clearing within the forest, Rockwood Mountain Lodge embraces its remote setting by relying on solar power for lighting and utilizing gas for all other needs. The accommodation provides sleeping arrangements for six individuals across three rooms, including one King room and one Twin room that share a bathroom equipped with a shower, as well as one Twin room with an ensuite bathroom featuring a bath. The property is powered by both gas and solar energy, and it is accessible only with a 4x4 high clearance vehicle; transfers are available upon request. Featuring a spacious entertainment deck equipped with a Big Green Egg ceramic cooker (charcoal included), the lodge provides a perfect outdoor space. A brief stroll leads to the viewing deck overlooking Karkloof Canopy Tours, while various walking trails emanate from the cabin. Conveniently, Mountain Lodge is just a 20-minute drive from Rockwood Forest Lodge, Farm House, and Cottage.
