Accommodation Description
Santa Rosa is a three-bedroom self-catering villa that sleeps up to six people. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom; two with showers, one with a bath and a shower. Inside, there is a well-equipped farm-style kitchen with a gas stove and oven, microwave, fridge, kettle and a full set of utensils. The open-plan living/dining area features a large fireplace and comfortable seating around a dining table. Patio doors open to an expansive outdoor deck and patio area that include a plunge pool, outdoor shower, sun-deck and braai facility. The home is simply furnished but with comfort in mind. The generous garden surrounds provide both privacy and space. The setting is rustic, relaxed, and ideal for families or small groups.
Setting Description
Santa Rosa is tucked away near the banks of Lake St Lucia in the False Bay region of Hluhluwe, surrounded by forest, sand-forest and mixed shoreline. The house is accessible via mostly tarred road; once you reach False Bay, the ambience shifts to a quiet, natural environment where traffic is minimal and peace prevails. Wildlife and bird-spotting are part of the appeal, as large tracts of untamed ecology surround the property. The beach is walkable through woodland, giving guests direct access to coastline without needing to drive far. At night, without city lights, the skies are dark and full of stars. In the wider region, Hluhluwe Game Reserve and nearby elephant and safari experiences are within comfortable drive distance, offering adventure after days spent in calm retreat.
