Watersmeet Country Cottages is a family-friendly retreat set on the Walkersons Private Trout Fishing Estate, only a 10 minute drive outside Dullstroom in Mpumalanga. Surrounded by 870-hectares of land with a large variety of free-roaming wild game, plus some of the best fly-fishing in the area, Watersmeet is the perfect choice for loves of the outdoors.  

Host to just two cottages, Watersmeet and Feathers, guests are promised an intimate experience whether seeking a romantic escape or family getaway. One cottage sleeps 4 with 2 bathrooms, and the other is a cottage that sleeps 2. Both cottages are isolated with a magnificent view and sunset, as well as an open fireplace with wood provided for a lovely warm atmosphere.

Watersmeet Country Cottages Setting

Watersmeet Country Cottages is set on Walkersons Private Estate is in the Lunsklip/Naboom River Valley of South Africa, surrounded by 890 hectares of natural grassland. The 14 dams and 4km of river are stocked with trout, while the plains are home to free-roaming zebras, wildebeest, red hartebeest, blesbok, cerval, bush pig and many more.

Adventure lovers will be in their element with the many walking paths traversing the sstate for hikers, runners, mountain bikers and nature enthusiasts, plus an off-road cycling track currently under construction and set to launch soon. This exciting trail will wind its way through a lush forest, ascending to offer captivating mountain game viewing, and then descendiing alongside a scenic river, spanning a total distance of 35 kilometers.
