Accommodation Description
Morukuru Owner’s House is an exclusive-use, fully private two-bedroom safari home ideal for couples, small families or friends travelling together. The two spacious en suite bedrooms flank a generous open-plan living area featuring a lounge, dining room, library, and wine cellar. Each suite has both indoor and outdoor showers and a freestanding bathtub offering a luxurious bush experience. The house operates entirely off-grid using solar power, ensuring a seamless balance between comfort and sustainability. Outdoors, a 14-metre infinity pool overlooks the Marico River, complemented by a treetop sala for quiet reflection and a boma for open-air dining. Every stay includes a private chef, butler, ranger, tracker, and housekeeping team, allowing guests to enjoy a fully tailored safari experience at their own pace.
Setting Description
Set on the banks of the Marico River beneath the shade of ancient Tamboti trees, Morukuru Owner’s House is part of a private concession in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve. The reserve spans over 75,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, home to the Big Five, cheetahs, wild dogs, and more than 340 bird species. Guests often spot elephants, antelope, and monkeys right from the deck. Madikwe’s unique landscape, where Kalahari bushveld meets savanna, makes for outstanding game-viewing year-round. Access is by road or light aircraft, with transfers arranged directly to the property. True to the “Morukuru Freedom Concept,” there are no set schedules — every day unfolds as you wish, whether that means an early game drive, a bush breakfast, an afternoon siesta, or dining under a canopy of stars.
