Cuckoo Ridge Country Retreat features five self-catering chalets, each with fully equipped kitchens, en-suite bathrooms, private verandahs, and daily servicing (excluding Sundays and public holidays). Options include spacious one-bedroom chalets and a two-bedroom log cabin, all designed for comfort and relaxation.
Setting Description
Located among the natural beauty of Hazyview, the retreat overlooks the Majajekulo River Valley, offering guests a chance to unwind in a peaceful environment. The landscape features manicured lawns, indigenous trees, and occasional sightings of local wildlife, including bushbuck and vervet monkeys.
Guests can relax by the rock pool, enjoy a braai under the stars, take a scenic stroll through the property, or listen to nocturnal sounds like the cries of bush babies. Staying at Cuckoo Ridge instantly felt like we had family in South Africa. This place is cosy and clean, offering everything you need – including good breakfast with nice talks to the owners and family, while watching monkeys playing in the yard.

At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto KMIA Road and proceed 1.8 km;
At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the R538 and proceed 3.0 km;
Turn left to stay on the R538 and proceed 230 m;
Turn right to stay on the R538 and proceed 4.3 km;
Turn right and proceed 2.8 km;
Turn left onto the R538 and proceed 1.7 km;
At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the R40 and proceed 27.9 km;
Turn left and proceed 5.6 km;
Continue onto Kiepersol Road for 1.0 km;
Turn left and proceed 4.5 km;
Turn left onto the R536 and proceed 4.5 km;
