Riverbend Camp’s campsites offer a classic outdoor experience right on the banks of the Vaal River, designed for tent and caravan camping with essential comforts. Each campsite accommodates up to six guests, making the site ideal for families, groups of friends, or couples keen to enjoy the riverbank setting. The premium campsites, such as Carp Cove, Perch Haven, and Barbel Bliss, include private ablution facilities with a shower, toilet and wash-up area. Standard camping sites like Yellowfish offer communal ablutions and a wash-up area, while all sites have access to free Wi-Fi, braai grids, and defined pitches with space for tents or caravans. Many stands include their own electricity point and water connection. The layout places campers just steps from the water’s edge, making fishing and water activities immediately accessible. Riverbend’s grounds are shaded by trees, and the management prioritises cleanliness and convenience throughout the camping areas.

Set against the tranquil flow of the Vaal River, Riverbend Camp evokes a relaxed riverside ambience where the rhythms of water and birdlife shape your stay. The campsite’s grass-covered pitches are tucked beneath shady trees with direct views over the river, offering a natural backdrop for morning coffee or an afternoon cast. Close to the N12 and the small town of Christiana, the site strikes a balance between peaceful isolation and easy the access for travellers exploring the North West. From each pitch you can hear the gentle murmur of the river and watch the light shift over the water as the day passes. The environment lends itself to fishing, kayaking and birdwatching; evenings often draw guests together around campfires beside the riverbank. While the setting is calm and restorative, there’s also the option of boating and watersports for those seeking more active pursuits.
