Accommodation Description
Schoemanshof Campsite, also known as Tokkelosbos Camp Site, offers a secluded, off-grid camping experience on the banks of the Vaal River within the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site. Designed for a single group of up to 18 guests, the campsite provides a private and tranquil setting surrounded by hills and bushveld.
The campsite features two family bathrooms, each equipped with a shower, basin, and toilet. Hot water is supplied via a gas geyser, and solar lights illuminate the bathrooms. A double sink is available for dishwashing. Please note that there is no electricity on-site, enhancing the rustic camping experience.Guests can enjoy activities such as fly fishing (catch and release only), hiking on the Tierkloof trail, birdwatching, and cycling. The campsite's location offers easy access to nearby attractions, including river rafting, game drives, and mountain biking.
