Accommodation Description
Simunye Private Game Reserve offers a quiet and comfortable escape into the bushveld with a small collection of individually decorated chalets. The chalets accommodate between two and five guests, with a choice of queen-size or single beds, en-suite bathrooms (some with both bath and shower), and outdoor seating areas that open up to the natural surroundings.
Select units include kitchenettes equipped with an induction stove, fridge, crockery, and cutlery—giving guests the option of self-catering, while others enjoy access to a shared kitchen and outdoor braai area. Every chalet includes tea and coffee stations, ceiling fans, and plenty of privacy. There's also a large salt-chlorinated swimming pool for cooling off in the warmer months, and a peaceful rock lounge space where guests can relax with a book, a glass of wine, or simply listen to the sounds of the bush.

The reserve is located around 120 km from Johannesburg and 70 km from Pretoria, making it ideal for weekend getaways or short breaks from the city. The final stretch of road leading to the reserve is well-maintained and accessible with a standard vehicle.
The surrounding environment is home to a wide variety of game and birdlife, and guests are free to explore the area on foot or by bicycle. It’s a place where quiet mornings give way to gentle walks, and evenings are spent around a fire under star-filled skies.
