Booking and security deposit • No booking is secured without payment of at least 50% of the booking total • The full balance + security deposit is due 15 days before check-in • An additional security deposit applies. You will receive separate communications with your secure payment link. Please use the payment link to process payment of your security deposit via credit card. • Security deposit amount: 12 Sleeper – R 1 500; 8 Sleeper – R 1 000; Luxury Tent Houses – R 500 • The security deposit will be refunded to the credit card used to make payment, within 7 business days from check out, after deduction of damages. • Should damages be deducted, this will be communicated to you prior to refund of the security deposit. • Each unit contains a stocklist of the items in the unit. On check-in day, please report any damaged or missing items to us immediately. At check-out, any missing or damaged items which have not been reported to us by yourselves on check-in day, will be billed against your account. • If your booking is via Airbnb, they reserve the right to deduct damages against your account, as indicated under “health and safety” at the bottom of the screen when making the booking. No security deposit is payable for Airbnb guests. • Should damages/losses exceed the key and security deposit value, the person responsible for the reservation is liable for the balance. • Cancellations: - 14 days or more prior to check-in, all amounts received will be refunded, minus a handling fee of R1000 - 10 to 14 days prior to check-in, 50% of the accommodation total will be forfeited, and a handling fee of R 1 000 will be deducted off any refunds due - 7 to 10 days prior to check-in, 100% of the accommodation total will be forfeited. Unit and grounds: • Self-catering. No coffee, sugar, oil, salt and similar items supplied • No smoking allowed inside the units, including “hubbly bubblies”. Penalties apply • No pets are allowed. • There are no televisions or sound systems in any of the units. • Room towels are not permitted outside. Penalties apply • No day visitors allowed. • Check-in is from 14H00, check-out strictly no later than 10H30 am. Penalties apply • Though children are welcome, the units are not baby proof and not specifically toddler friendly. • Parents are advised to always supervise children under the age of 12. • There is no safety cover/net over any swimming pools • The Luxury Tent houses (walking down to the braai area), and the 12-sleeper unit contain stairs, which may not be suitable for elderly guests and small children should be minded. • Unfortunately, our lodge is not wheelchair friendly. • We do not supply baby cots/beds. Please bring along a camping cot should you have a small child. • The front door key with the remote must be placed back in the lock-box before check-out. • The swimming pool at the 12-sleeper unit is only for guests of the 12-sleeper. • Please use the equipment and facilities with due care and please replace all items and games before check-out. • Please be vigilant. Lock all doors and close all windows when going to sleep. • There is no security personnel on the grounds. • Please be vigilant for potentially dangerous insects/amphibians/reptiles. • Please properly extinguish all fires with water before going to bed, including hubbly bubbly coals • 8/12 Sleeper units: if the stove does not work, please make sure the gas bottle is full. The gas bottle is outside the unit, by the door at the kitchen. If you need assistance, please refer to the contact details below. Access and driving • Short dirt road followed by a cement road. For the dirt road part of your travel please drive slowly. • To access the Idwala Le Ingwe gate, please enter the gate code that is sent to the main booker on check-in day. Please wait for the gate to close before driving away. • 8-sleeper unit guests follow a steep uphill. Please remain in 1st gear while driving up past the 12-sleeper unit. • Access to the grounds is only permitted from 14H00 on check-in day • Please refrain from speeding at all times • Gate codes and unit lock box codes are sent to the main booker on the day of check-in • Next to the front door of your unit is a silver lock box - Enter the code supplied to the main booker on check-in day - Pull the lever - Your key is inside the lock box • Tent 1 is located closest to the main swimming pool and lapa (right after entering the gate) • Tent 2 is the middle tent • Tent 3 is the tent highest up • 12 - sleeper unit is towards the left after passing the lapa and tents • 8 - sleeper unit is up past the 12 sleeper Cleaning • Cleaning for day 1 is automatically included in your booking. • Cleaning for any additional days is paid separately at R200 per day. • Cleaning times: - Luxury Tent Houses between 8:30 am and 10:00 am - 8/12 Sleeper Units: between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm • Cleaning is only performed if: a) Guests are in the unit or b) Guests are not in the unit but have left the unit key in the lockbox next to the door. • We do not offer laundry services, but should you require laundry services please contact us and we will advise. Generator times: • In the event of power outage, the generator will only run from: - 06H00 - 09H00 in the morning. - 18H00 - 22H00 at night. - There are also camping lights in the units when needed. Penalties: Noise complaints • First request to lower noise levels - R500 • Second request to lower noise levels - R500 • Third request to lower noise levels - we reserve the right to request that you vacate the premises. • If required to vacate the premises, all amounts paid to us will be forfeited, except the refundable security deposit which will be refunded according to our standard policies. • In certain circumstances, you may also be liable for the refund due to other guests due to excessive noise levels. Other penalties: • Evidence of smoking inside the unit - R 500 • Additional guest fee (guests exceeding the booking total) - R 1000 per night • Room towels at swimming pool - R 200 General disclaimer: The owners, directors, management, and/or employees are not liable for any injury to persons whether caused by their negligence or not, for loss or damage to property, by theft, or any other cause whatsoever. We reserve the right to request that you vacate the premises, should you not adhere to the rules and regulations as set out above. If asked to vacate the premises, all amounts paid to us will be forfeited, except the refundable security deposit which will be refunded according to our standard policies. Contact information: 1.
