Flip Flop Cottage is a tastefully designed, one-bedroom self-catering retreat ideal for couples or friends. The open-plan layout features a lounge with comfortable seating and a smart TV with streaming services, and a compact kitchenette equipped with a stovetop, microwave, fridge‑freezer, dishwasher, kettle, and premium crockery. A king‑size bed (or twin) and en‑suite bathroom—complete with bath, walk‑in shower, bathrobes, and luxury toiletries—offer restful comfort. Crisp linens, bath towels, load‑shedding provisions, and Wi‑Fi ensure convenience. Outside, a covered patio with a built‑in braai, a dining set, and an outdoor fireplace invites guests to savour evenings in the secluded garden. Beautifully situated in the Langezandt Fishermen’s Village, modelled on traditional thatch fishermen’s cottages, Flip Flop Cottage is a mere 200 m stroll from Struisbaai’s famous 14 km beach, the longest stretch of sand in the Southern Hemisphere. The secure estate is tranquil, with a private garden and quiet ambience, yet close to local attractions: Struisbaai harbour (with its colourful boats and resident stingray “Parrie”), Agulhas National Park, Arniston heritage village, and leafy coastal trails. It’s an ideal base for sunrise walks, fishing, kayaking, or whale-spotting (June–November), offering a blend of understated elegance and coastal charm.

From Cape Town International Airport:
1. Exit the airport and follow signs to Somerset West.
Get on the N2 from the airport (3.7 km / 5 min)
Merge onto the N2 highway.
2. Stay on the N2 (96.0 km / ~1 hr), Drive on the N2 past Somerset West, Grabouw, and Caledon.
3. Take the R316 exit to Bredasdorp (77.9 km / ~50 min total), Turn right onto Hoop Street (R316) in Caledon (1.7 km).
4. Continue on R316 through Napier (approx. 70 km total via R316, including: Chavonnes Way – 350 m, R316 – 54.9 km
5. Turn right onto Bredasdorp Rd (R316) – 4.0 km.
6. Continue onto R319 to Struisbaai – 25.7 km.
7. Final stretch to Flip Flop Cottage (1.3 km / 4 min)
Turn left onto Argonauta Avenue – 190 m.
Turn left onto Murex Street – 550 m (where you will find Lengezandt security gate).
Turn left onto Clionella Street – 350 m (may be a restricted road).
Turn right, until you reach House Doebaai , Parking can be located next to the double garage, Walk down the left side of House Doebaai, where Flip Flop Cottage is located.
