A hidden gem
Kalmeer is the biggest surprise and so near to Cape Town. The accommodation is very comfortable with so much attention to detail. The chalet we stayed in is very spacious, inviting and well-equipped. Sitting on the patio you observe the game, it's wonderful.

Our two-night stay at the incredible glamping tent farm Kalmeer was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning setup and the unique opportunity to be so close to nature. We cannot recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a unique, luxurious, and memorable escape. We’ll definitely be back!

Kalmeer Game Lodge is ideally situated on the Cape-Namibia route, just 40 km from Cape Town, making it a perfect stopover before or after your journey. The lodge is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, hosting a variety of animals including antelope, zebra, giraffe, and black wildebeest, as well as smaller species like mongoose, bat-eared foxes, and caracals. Bird watchers will also appreciate the abundance of birdlife in the area.
Set just outside the charming town of Philadelphia, Kalmeer Game Lodge offers easy access to the Cape’s attractions while providing a secluded, adults-only retreat where guests can relax and enjoy complete privacy.

From Cape Town International Airport:
There will be signage directing you to the property once you past the entrance.
1. Head northeast on Ring Rd for 700 m.
2. Continue straight to stay on Ring Rd for 170 m.
3. Use the middle 2 lanes to stay on Ring Rd for another 170 m.
4. Use the left 2 lanes to stay on Ring Rd for 650 m.
5. Use the 2nd from the right lane to turn slightly left toward Airport Approach Rd for 180 m.
6. Use the right 2 lanes to merge onto Airport Approach Rd for 190 m.
7. Keep right to stay on Airport Approach Rd for 1.9 km.
8. Merge onto Settlers Way/N2 and continue for 8.7 km.
9. Take exit 9 to merge onto M5 toward N1/Milnerton for 2.9 km.
10. Use the left 2 lanes to merge onto N1 toward Paarl for 2.7 km.
11. Use the left lane to take exit 10 for Century City Drive/N7 toward Goodwood/Malmesbury for 1.9 km.
12. Use the left lane to take the N1 ramp for 1.6 km.
13. Use the left lane to merge onto N7 via the ramp to Malmesbury for 25.1 km.
14. Take the R304 exit toward Atlantis for 300 m.
15. Use the left lane to take the ramp onto Philadelphia Rd/R304 for 45 m.
16. Merge onto Philadelphia Rd/R304 and continue for 4.8 km.
17. Turn right onto R304 and drive for 3.2 km.
18. Turn right onto Three Fountains Rd for 170 m.
19. Turn left to stay on Three Fountains Rd for 1.7 km.
20. Turn left to stay on Three Fountains Rd for another 170 m.
21. Continue straight for 300 m.
22. Turn left and continue for 260 m.
