Klein Doorn Farm Stay offers a tranquil escape in the heart of the Klein Karoo, just 24 km from Oudtshoorn. Nestled at the confluence of the Klein and Groot Doorn rivers, this self-catering retreat provides guests with breathtaking mountain and Karoo vistas. The farm operates entirely on solar power and features gas geysers, ensuring an eco-friendly stay.
Guests can choose from a selection of charming cottages, each accommodating between 2 to 4 people. The cottages are furnished with comfortable queen-size beds or a combination of queen-size and single beds. Private bathrooms are equipped with baths and invigorating outdoor showers, allowing guests to immerse themselves in nature. Each cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen with a 2-plate gas stove, fridge, and dining area, complemented by a cozy indoor fireplace for cooler evenings. How to get there
From George Airport:
1. Head northeast toward R404.
2. Turn left onto R404 towards George/Oudtshoorn and drive 7.6 kilometers.
3. Keep left to continue on Montagu St/R404 and follow it for 2.0 kilometers.
4. Turn left onto N12/N9 towards Oudtshoorn/Uniondale and proceed for 18.2 kilometers.
5. Turn left onto N12/R62 towards Oudtshoorn and drive for 5.0 kilometers.
6. Turn left onto the gravel road towards Klipdrif/Zebra and continue for 4.0 kilometers.
7. Turn left at the sign for Mount Hope and drive 9 kilometers.
8. Turn right at the chevron sign with the handpainted Oudtshoorn sign at the white school building on the lefthand side.
9. Continue for about 6 kilometers and then turn right into the farm gate with a green flag outside.
10. Continue for approximately 1 kilometer and you'll find the cottages on the righthand side.
11. Keep driving for about 500 meters to reach the main house and reception.
